McDonald's now offers table service

McDonald's is now offering table service at its Wakefield and Glass Houghton restaurants.

The newest feature has been rolled out in the Dewsbury Road and Colorado Way branches after they were both refurbished last year. The transformation saw the introduction of digital self-order kiosks, which are now offering customers the choice to have their food delivered direct to their table.

The restaurants also have redesigned kitchens so customers’ food is freshly made to order, interactive tables for diners to use, and the new kiosks, which allow customers to browse the menu, view nutritional information and pay quickly by card.

Area manager Wayne Walker, who oversees the Glass Houghton branch, said: “All of the new features have been introduced so that we can meet our customers evolving needs and table service is a great example of that. We know that for parents for example, it can sometimes be a stressful experience ordering at the till and carrying food while keeping an eye on children, so table service enables customers to order at the self-order kiosk and then sit down at a designated zone to be served their food.”
