Meeting to be held over controversial Carleton boulders

Residents are to meet at Carleton Community Centre to discuss the controversial stones that have been placed on Carleton Green in Pontefract.

The huge rocks were put in place earlier in the summer to prevent vehicles accessing the green off Carleton Road after problems with nuisance drivers.

However, they have proved unpopular among residents who have called for them to be removed or replaced with smaller stones.

The meeting will be held tonight, Thursday, August 2, at 7pm.
