Nursery’s summer fair rolls in to town

Transformers, donkeys and a JCB digger will roll into town next weekend for a Castleford nursery’s summer fair.

Dozens of tots and parents will gather for Hillside Private Day Nursery’s Summer Fair 2015 on Saturday July 18.

The event will feature a mini man-made beach, donkey rides, games, live music, a special mascot race and birds of prey.

There will also be refreshments and a number of different stalls on offer at the nursery at The Old Rectory in Whitwood Lane.

Nursery owner Rachel Hill, who also runs a nursery in Altofts, Wakefield, said: “This year we are celebrating community, family and friends.

“The last fair we had was two years ago and it was amazing.”

More than 100 people turned out for the event in 2013.

The fair will take place at the nursery from 11am-3pm.
