Pedestrian suffers head injuries after being hit by car
A pedestrian suffered head and leg injuries after being hit by a car.
Police were called by the ambulance service at about 6.35am to a report of a collision on Whitwood Common Lane yesterday involving the pedestrian and the Volkswagen car.
The 50-year-old male pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious leg and head injuries and continues to be treated.
The road was closed for investigation work and re-opened at 11.08am.
