Pensioner killed while walking her dog
A woman was killed after being hit by a vehicle while walking her dog.
The 74-year-old was walking her dog along Dewsbury Road, Lupset, at around 6.20pm yesterday (Wednesday).
Police said the dog was spooked by a noise, believed to be a firework, causing it to run into the road.
The woman ran after it but was hit by a vehicle and died of her injuries.
