Wakefield was filled with colour and music as people celebrated Wakefield Pride 2026.

The event celebrated the district’s LGBT+ community and provided a welcoming space for people to meet, enjoy entertainment and show their support.

From the stage at Trinity Walk to parties at Lost Property and pubs across the city, hundreds of people enjoyed this year’s event.

And this year, X-Factor rapper Honey G brought some rap classics to the the Pride party.

The main stage at Trinity Walk welcomed acts including Macie, Divine VK and Ariel 51 and DJ Mikki and Honey G while The New Union pub brought all the colour of cabaret.

The Wakefield Pride team have been proudly organising Wakefield’s Pride Events since 2005, having gained charitable status in spring 2020.

Their Mission has always been the promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit, in particular the elimination of discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity.
