The free two-day spectacular saw cosplay favourites including Iron Man, Spider-Man, Groot, The Hulk, Bumblebee and Chewbacca, alongside princesses and characters from KPop Demon Hunters, taking over Trinity Walk.
One of the biggest attractions was a huge X-wing-inspired fighter, making its debut at the centre.
Harry Potter fans were in for a treat with a series of magical photo opportunities, including racing brooms, wands and a Platform 9¾-inspired set-up.
And the spooky entertainment didn’t stop there with the Hocus Pocus witches casting their spell over the centre on Sunday.
With superheroes, sci-fi icons, witches, wizards and movie magic all packed into one weekend, Star Walk turned Wakefield city centre into a giant celebration of film, fantasy and cosplay.
Best of all, the event was completely free, making it a chance for families, film fans and budding cosplayers to enjoy a Halloween weekend packed with spectacular characters and photo opportunities.
]Alison Wainwright, Wakefield Hospice Community Fundraiser: “Wow what an amazing weekend we had at the Trinity Walk Star Walk Halloween Event!
“A huge thank you to Trinity Walk for their fabulous support, to everyone who gave their time and supported the weekend – from our cosplay heroes to our incredible volunteers, and of course to the Wakefield community who gave so kindly in aid of local hospice care.
“Events like these really capture what Wakefield Hospice is all about. We're here for our local community when they need us most, and it's thanks to the incredible support of that same community that we're able to be there for people when it matters.”
