Around 1,000 kite lovers headed out to Heath Common this weekend to join in with the colourful displays at the annual Kite Festival.
The skies above the common were a rainbow of colours on Sunday September 25 with professional flyers, families and children taking their kites to the sky.
Member of the Heath Residents Association, Colin Daley, said: “The festival was fantastic, we had the biggest turn out yet.
"We had professional kite flyers, people bringing their own kites and families buying kites from us on the day, we ran out of kites there was that much demand.
“From our perspective at Heath Residents Association, it was our best year yet.”
The festival also hosted a number of food and drink vans and Christmas cards and calendars were also on sale with proceeds being split between the residents association for the upkeep and maintenance of the village, St Catherine’s Food Bank on Doncaster Road and the Eastmoor Community Pantry at St Swithuns Community Centre.
