Castleford Tigers eclipse fundraising goal with £12,500 donation to Prince of Wales Hospice
Rugby league club Castleford Tigers has eclipsed a fundraising target set in 2019 by donating a massive £12,517 to The Prince of Wales Hospice.
The amount by far exceeds the aim of raising £7,660, which would fund the hospice for a day.
The amount brings the total to date to £23,706, and the team took on the gruelling Three Peaks Challenge as part of their activities, which raised more than £6,000.
In addition to monetary support, the team members often take time out of their schedule to make appearances at hospice events and they also visit patients at the hospice for their Outreach Christmas party.
