Head to Hemsworth for Bonfire Night with funfair and fireworks
If you’re looking for somewhere to go tonight to see fireworks and keep warm beside a bonfire, head to Hemsworth Water Park.
The even, organised by Hemsworth Town Council, will include a mini funfair from 5pm, the fire will be lit at 6.30pm and the fireworks display will start at 7pm.
The Boathouse Cafe will be open from 5pm serving hot food and drinks and there will also be a snack stall.
Car parking has been provided at Kinsley Greyhound Stadium and The Farmers car park for attendees of this event (charges may apply)
There will also be very limited disabled parking at Hemsworth Park Care Home.
Roadblocks will be in place at the entrances off Hoyle Mill Road and Hemsworth Park Care Home from 4.30pm and entrance to the event will be for pedestrians only.
A coning order will be in place on Wakefield Road from the junction of Hoyle Mill Road to the junction of Springvale Rise and Cemetery Road and no parking is permitted in the coned area.
