Gigs, bingo, indoor drinking and indoor restaurants will be all reopening on May 17.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to announce today the next steps in his roadmap out of lockdown, which will include the businesses that will be able to reopen from Monday, May 17.

Businesses that rely on an indoor setting, such as many restaurants, are expected to be allowed to open their doors to customers again from May 17.

Here are the place that will be able to open:

Pubs (indoor serving)

Restaurants (indoor serving)

Bingo halls

Bowling alleys

Steam rooms

Big events (with capacity)

Sports stadiums (with capacity)

Indoor events such as gigs will have a capacity limit of 1,000, or 50 per cent, whichever is the smaller number of people.

Outdoor events will be able to welcome up to 4,000 or 50 per cent capacity.

Some outdoor events that are seated, such as football games, will be capped at 10,000 or 25 per cent.

The next round of reopenings, if everything goes to plan, will be on June 21.

It's then we will see nightclubs reopening and other larger events.

It's also hoped weddings and funerals will be allowed with no further restrictions and by the end of July, when it's hoped every adult has been offered a Covid vaccination, things might just start looking at lot more like normality.

Working from home measures are expcted to remain in place until at least June.
