Man who died in Wakefield crash named by police
Police have released the name of a man who died after his car collided with a bridge in Wakefield.
Callum Gillies, who was 25 and from Ackworth, suffered serious injuries after his Citroen DS3 stuck the railway bridge in Ackworth, at about 9am on Sunday, May 2.
He was taken to hospital, but sadly died from his injuries.
Enquiries are continuing into the collision and anyone who witnessed it, or the movements of the vehicle prior to it, is asked to contact the Major Collision Enquiry Team on 101, or via the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting log reference 0398 of 2 May.
