Millfields Care Home enjoys a week of sweet treats at Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed event
Staff at Millfields Care Home had a special treat in-store for residents - a themed week of activities, inspired by Roald Dahl’s best selling children’s book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Victoria Jenkins, the care home’s activities and fundraising coordinator, executed a full chocolate themed week including chocolate tasting, a chocolate fountain, a staff vs residents chocolate themed quiz, and chocolate prize bingo.

Laura Jones, Manager, said: “This theme has been better than we could have imagined, Victoria has gone above and beyond organising this and the staff have put a lot of effort in to make the day special, I am very proud of my team at Millfields.
“We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the local community who have supported us throughout the pandemic.”
The cake was donated by a member of staff, Elizabeth Tankard who has supported the home with many fundraising events and raffles.
It was raffled on the day and raised £212 which is going towards funds to purchase an interactive rainbow table for the residents.
