This year's Pontefract 10k gets underway

Runners come out in force for Pontefract 10K

Around 1,500 runners turned up to take part in the Pontefract 10K last Sunday.

The event was won by Dan Tate from the Selby Striders in a time of 32 minutes 48 seconds.

Winner of the women’s race was Jess Mackie from Bristol and West AC in 37 minutes two seconds.

Jill Kirkham,fundraising manager at The Prince of Wales Hospice, said: “We were very glad to be the charity partner of the Pontefract 10K and want to thank the event organisers and the runners for supporting our local charity.”
