Smoking shelter plan following assaults on Arriva bus drivers

The company say there have been a number of angry confrontations with drivers at the station entrance when approached for cigarettes.
The company is also applying to install a barrier at the Marsh Way entrance to stop vehicles U-turning.

"Arriva takes all incidents of assault, physical or verbal, against our staff extremely seriously - working closely with our local police force in any such instances to support their investigations and prosecutions."
