“The Addy team work so hard delivering high quality play experiences that impact the lives of children and young people living on the Warwick Estate and in the Wakefield District.

“It is often said by parents that ‘there is no place like this, a hidden gem which is so unique’ and this is all thanks to our team who have a real care for needs of the families.”

The playground has been a staple part of the community for almost 50 years. Originally known as Warwick Adventure Playground it was set up in 1972 to give youngsters a place to explore and play, following concerns over the increasing number of children using the quarry to play.

The Addy provides daily play sessions for children, as well as services for the elderly, children with additional needs and for local youths and tots.
