The evening was a chance to recognise the dedication of staff, volunteers, supporters and local businesses, while celebrating the achievements of the hospice community.
Guests enjoyed delicious food, entertainment and plenty of laughter throughout the evening, with the celebration also providing an opportunity to look ahead to the future and the vital role the local community continues to play in supporting the Hospice.
One of the highlights of the evening was the announcement of Claire Sutherley as the new Patron of The Prince of Wales Hospice.
Adrian Greenwood, Fundraising Manager at The Prince of Wales Hospice, said: “Our Celebration Dinner was a wonderful opportunity to bring together the people who make our hospice so special.
"It was a chance to recognise and thank our staff, volunteers, supporters and local businesses for the part they play in helping us provide care for local patients and families.
“We were delighted to welcome guests and celebrate the achievements of so many people who support the hospice.
"We’d also like to thank our Platinum Sponsors, Prosper Accountancy and Pennine Recruitment, whose support helped make the evening possible, along with We Are Wakefield for sponsoring our Supporter Awards.
"We are also grateful to Capital Yorkshire host JoJo Kelly, who helped make the evening such an enjoyable occasion.”
The evening also saw the hospice recognise the achievements and contributions of members of its community through its awards, celebrating the people whose time, dedication and support make such a difference.
