Tributes paid to Hemsworth man Martin Britton
Tributes have been paid to a 41-year-old Hemsworth man who died suddenly.
Martin Britton died unexpectedly on November 26.
His wife Katie led the tributes to her husband. She said: “Martin was so funny. The way he talked and walked always lit up any room.
"He went above and beyond putting others first. He would do anything to make me happy apart from when he ate my birthday chocolate cake he bought me.

"I have always said that Martin was sent to me for a reason and I stand by that.
"He loved our grandkids, his children and he was so good to my children.”
Friend Chris Storer worked with Martin both in the care sector and at Legacy MMA & Fitness Suite in Hemsworth.
He said: “Martin was an amazing guy that always had the best interests in mind for everyone he spoke to. He had such a positive outlook and was so helpful.
"He was an amazing family man, a really good friend and a really good person.”
On Wednesday, December 3 from 9am to 5pm, Legacy will be hosting a fundraising event in memory of Martin.
Throughout the day staff and members will undertake a continuous bike ride using gym spin bikes to support his family.
Donations can be made in person at the gym on the day or online via a GoFundMe page
In a Facebook post, the gym said: “Every contribution raised will go directly to Martin’s family, providing support where it is needed most, while honouring the legacy of a friend, teammate, and valued member of the Legacy family from the very beginning.
“We warmly invite anyone who wishes to give, share support, or simply join us on the day as we remember and celebrate Martin’s impact, loyalty, and connection within our community.
“Martin was more than part of our gym — he was part of our family. His loss will be deeply felt, and his memory will continue to inspire everything that Legacy stands for.”
Hundreds of people left tributes on the gym’s Facebook post.
