Wakefield Beer Festival returns after seven-year break – in pictures

Wakefield Beer Festival returned to the city after a seven-year absence and featured regional breweries, live music and street food.

The festival took place from at Wakefield Exchange Friday, October 23, to Sunday, October 25, with four sessions offering visitors the chance to sample a wide selection of beers, ciders and other craft drinks.

More than 100 drinks were featured, with independent and regional breweries among those represented.

Friday evening's entertainment was provided by Oompah band The Kase Chiefs, followed by the Chris Berry Band during Saturday afternoon.

Celtic rock band Galeforce performed on Saturday evening, while The Replays brought the festival to a close on Sunday afternoon with rock and pop favourites from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s.

The festival's return followed a seven-year break and was organised by Wakefield Round Table, HB Clark, The Jolly Boys and Wakefield Council.

Here’s a collection of pictures from the event.
