WDH has just completion the improvements to properties on Hawes Close, part of its wider multi-million-pound investment planned across the district to improve communities.
Hawes Close, which is made of 18 properties, received new boundary fencing, landscaping and improved drainage.
The street itself also was transformed with new tarmac on the road, drop kerbs, new footpaths, and turf on the side verges to improve the overall appearance of the cul-de-sac.

Working alongside a new contractor, Alliance Group, WDH delivered the project in six months during the third lockdown of the pandemic.
The brief was proposed after residents raised concerns about the uneven paving caused due to people creating their own off-street parking or parking on the walkway due to lack of off-street parking on the cul-de-sac.
Once reviewed, it was decided a more permanent solution and more adequate parking was needed to combat this issue and reduce any potential health and safety risks for pedestrians.
Feedback from tenants and local residents in Airedale has resulted in a 100% positive score for WDH from all customers living on Hawes Close.
Sue Young, WDH’s Executive Director of Development, said: “We’re giving our estates a new lease of life and increasing their kerb appeal, to help us build better and safer places for our residents, despite the ongoing pandemic.
"By investing money into our estates for environmental improvements such as the works at Hawes Close, this not only improves the area for our tenants but also for the wider community in that area helping to enhance the appearance and improve the neighbourhood.”
WDH has a range of other environmental and improvement projects planned for 2021 including a regeneration scheme at Tombridge Crescent in Kinsley, a roofing scheme at Lindsay Avenue in Lupset and a £3 million environmental face lift planned for 67 properties on Esther Grove, also in Lupset.
