‘Welcome to the family, little one’ - five generations meet for the first time

The latest addition to a family was welcomed as five generations of a Pontefract family came together for the first time.

Sebastian Albie-Lees Sharp was a lockdown baby having entered the world on the morning of August 14 weighing in at a healthy 8lb and 5oz.

Meeting prior to the latest Government lockdown rules banning groups of more than six people, there was Sebastian’s 21-year-old mum Rhiain Wardle, grandmother Louise Wardle, 40, great grandmother Karen Lawrie who is 59 and great, great nana, Margaret Barraclough who is 82.

Grandmother Louise Wardle said: “We had the gathering at great grandma Karen’s house, everyone was so excited to meet him for the first time.

“We had a fantastic day as great aunties and uncles also met him for the first time.”
