Wildfire closes trail at Fairburn Ings nature reserve

The Riverbank Trail at RSPB Fairburn Ings has been forced to close due to a wildfire this afternoon.

The Riverbank Trail is currently closed and West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are in attendance.

The visitor facilities at both sites remain closed at this time.

Fairburn Ings tweeted: "Please avoid visiting us, follow advice and stay safe."
