A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a motorbike in Newmillerdam on Friday afternoon.

Emergency services were called at 4.51pm on Friday, April 15, to Barnsley Road, to reports of a motorbike crashing into a pedestrian.
A police spokeswoman said: "The rider of the motorbike, a 33-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.
"A woman pedestrian received minor injuries."
Police closed off Barnsley Road in both directions.
