Yorkshire Water’s bill support roadshow coming back to Wakefield. Can you save money on your water bills?
Yorkshire Water is hosting a second bill support drop-in in Wakefield to help customers understand if they can reduce their water bills and receive immediate financial support.
Yorkshire Water will be on Northgate between 10am and 2pm tomorrow, Saturday, April 11, welcoming people to enjoy a hot drink and see if they can get support with their bill or be signed up for the priority service register, which offers additional support to customers with a range of specific needs.
Customers can also find out about local infrastructure schemes and wider Yorkshire Water projects.
Yorkshire Water previously kicked off its billing roadshow in Wakefield in February, which was a huge success.

The team engaged with over 250 people and 23 customers received help and advice from inside the hub.
Across 11 events in 2025, customers saved £43,000 on their water bills by signing up to financial support schemes they were eligible for.
Angie Markham-Nock, affordability strategy manager at Yorkshire Water, said: “We know that some of our customers are struggling with their bills, and will find increases to bills unmanageable, and this is why we are visiting communities with low levels of uptake of our financial support schemes to discuss the support we have available.
"We had a good turnout at the last event in Wakefield and were able to provide help and advice to 23 households, 17 of which received some help with reducing their bills."
The utility offers two different bill reduction tariffs, Water Support and Water Sure, which reduce or cap bills at a fixed amount for those with low income or who claim income-based benefits and need to use extra water.
There are also three schemes available to customers to help pay off water bill debts: two payment matching schemes, Resolve and Direct Support, and the Community Trust, which is an independent charity providing debt support payments. Customers can receive advice about being placed on a water meter, and whether this would reduce their bill.
