Person hit by a train in South Elmsall - severe delays between Wakefield and Doncaster, London and Leeds
Rail passengers had to make alternative routes and faced long delays last night after a person was struck by a train.
The incident which happened in South Elmsall meant that passengers had to use buses between Doncaster and Wakefield Westgate as Northern Rail Services were unable to call at South Elmsall.
East Coast trains between London and Leeds were also affected.
Rail services resumed as normal today.
