Police officer assaulted outside pub
A police officer was assaulted after responding to a call at a pub.
A PCSO from the Pontefract and Knottingley neighbourhood policing team (NPT) was called to the Magnet, Fishergate, Ferrybridge at around 7.30pm on Saturday.
While dealing with an incident he was assaulted.
Two men have been charged with assault in relation with the incident and were due to appear before magistrates this morning.
