Plan submitted for community hub at Pontefract pub

A planning application has been submitted to change the use of a Pontefract pub.

The proposals are to change The Olde Tavern on South Baileygate into a hub for community and support services with supported residential accommodation.

The application was submitted by The Saviour Trust, a Christian homelessness charity based at All Saints Church Hall on Baghill Lane.

Its website says: “The Saviour Trust was established in Pontefract in 2006 and is born out of a passionate Christian belief that every person should have warmth, shelter and food.”
