Hide AdDavid Green, the college’s government and politics lecturer, chaired the event.
He said: “Disillusionment with politics is a major issue especially amongst young people. I’m hopeful that this event will bring the students closer to the political world as it gives them a unique opportunity to engage with the parliamentary candidates and ask about issues that are important to them.”
The Express spoke to students Anastasia Dennison and Yasmin Walker about why they were attending the event and what topics are important to them when in comes to voting.
