Pontefract Haribo factory evacuated after ‘security threat’
Workers at a sweet factory in Pontefract were evacuated following a ‘security threat’.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called to the Haribo factory, on Front Street, at around 1.30pm following reports of a security threat.
“The building was evacuated as a precautionary measure and Halfpenny Lane was closed.”
Enquiries into the incident remain ongoing.
