Pub applies to stay open until 2am
A pub in Castleford has applied to open until 2am on Friday and Saturdays.
The proprietors of the White Lion Hotel on Pottery Street also want permission to open until 1am from Monday to Thursday, and midnight on Sundays, as well as playing live music during those extended hours. One resident has objected to the application, saying it would only increase noise and “drunken activities.”
The issue will be discussed at Wakefield Council’s licensing sub-committee meeting on Monday. A pub in Castleford has applied to open until 2am on Friday and Saturdays.
