Wakefield Household Waste Recycling Centres in Castleford, Ferrybridge, Fitzwilliam, Ossett and South Kirkby, are now open from 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday, and on bank holidays.

They are also open from 8am until 4pm on Saturdays and 9am to 4pm on Sundays.

The centres are only for residents to recycle and dispose of their household waste. There is no provision for commercial or trade waste disposal at these sites.

All residents are given a permit which must be shown when visiting any of the seven Household Waste Recycling Centres across the district.

If you don’t have a permit, you will need to provide proof of residency of the district in the form of a recent utility or council tax bill, before being allowed to use the site and then make arrangements to obtain a permit.
