Redevelopment on City Estate in Fitzwilliam moves forward
Planning permission for 159 properties on a derelict Fitzwilliam estate, previously called one of the worst in Britain, has been granted - eight years after homes were demolished.
Wakefield Council approved the application by Keepmoat to build 74 two-bedroom homes, 72 three-bedroom houses, two two-bedroom flats and five two-bedroom and seven three-bedroom properties for social housing, along with associated roads and landscaping on May 30.
