Sandal's scarecrow festival was '˜best ever'
Sandal's Scarecrow Festival has been hailed as its best one yet.
There were more than 100 scarecrows on show last week at the fourth annual festival. It was organised by Sandal Community Association. Chairman Les Goddard described it as ‘our best ever’. The winner of the people’s choice award was John Harrison’s ‘Recycling’ who created a ‘surgeon’ who recycled bits of scarecrows. Angie Brook took the adult award while Olivia and Reuben Scott won the junior award with ‘Gangster Granny’.
