Slideshow: Transformer Bumblebee entertains crowds at nursery fair

A transformer stormed into action and entertained crowds at a Castleford nursery’s summer fair.

Dozens of parents and their tots turned out for Hillside Private Day Nursery’s event at the weekend.

The fair, at The Old Rectory, Whitwood Lane, included appearances from Bumblebee - a character from the Transformer film series - Lightning McQueen and a JCB digger.

Nursery owner Rachel Hill, who organised the fair and also runs another nursery in Altofts, Wakefield, said: “The fair was everything I’d hoped for and more, we put a lot of work into it this year and we wanted it to be extra special.

“People really pulled together to make it such a good day - everybody wanted it to be a success.

“I’m really proud of my staff team.”

There was also a mini man-made beach, donkey rides, stalls, games, live music, a special mascot race and birds of prey on offer at the fair.
