SNOW UPDATE - Yorkshire Sculpture Park closes early after heavy snowfall
Yorkshire Sculpture Park has closed for the day (Thursday) after a heavy snow shower brought a fresh covering to the area.
The Met Office has extended its yellow ‘be aware’ warning for the Wakefield district until 11am on Friday as heavy snow showers continue to sweep across the country.
A heavy snow shower at around 2pm led to a covering in Wakefield but there are no reports of disruption on the roads or to public transport.
