Standbridge Lane roadworks complete

A £250,000 upgrade of ageing gas mains in Sandal has been completed.

Northern Gas Networks has replaced around 900m of metal gas mains near Standbridge Lane.

Temporary traffic lights which were in place have now been lifted but gas mains on Kingsley Avenue and Barnsley Road in October.

Warren Iveson, Northern Gas Networks’ construction services area manager, said: “We would like to thank customers for their patience throughout these essential improvement works and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
