Street artists will return to Horbury underpass

International street artists will fly in to finish off a graffiti project under a motorway bridge in Horbury.

The Spel and Beyond crew will visit from the Netherlands to add the finishing touches to the underpass on Green Lane which was transformed by various British graffiti teams in March.

The next event, hosted by Revive Events, will take place on Saturday, May 25.

Artists are asked to bring a ladder and their own paints.

Artistic Transformations UK were in negotiations with Wakefield Council for about a year in order to secure permission to spray at the site.

And the result was an open event, called a ‘graff jam’, where graffiti artists could come along and claim some wall space.
