Wakefield teenager Alex Grace has been chosen as a National Anti-Bullying Ambassador Youth Board Member.

The year 11 student at Silcoates School was one of 15 out of 100 to be selected to sit on the youth board.

He will help to represent the views of thousands of schools and young people from across the UK, offering advice on anti-bullying policies and practices. The members will also be able to help with the planning of this year’s anti-bullying week in November.

“I feel I will definitely make a difference to the lives of other young people who have experienced bullying or have been a bully themselves.”

The anti-bullying ambassadors’ programme is run by the Diana Award, a nationwide peer-led initiative with more than 11,000 trained ambassadors in schools across the UK.
