Supply teacher wins award for her commitment
A supply teacher who stepped in to support a year five class at Stanley St Peter's CE Primary School has been honoured for her commitment.
Elizabeth Merriman picked up the Outstanding Teacher of the Term Award from Hays Education (the recruitment firm which supplied her to the school) in recognition of her work as a dedicated teacher.
She said: “A highlight of my experience with Hays and, to be honest, a highlight of my teaching career was this award. It was lovely to be recognised for my hard work, dedication and the impact I’ve made with my students. I’ll certainly be taking my certificate to my next school.”
Headteacher Sarah Trussler said: “Liz was delighted to win the award - it was well deserved.”
