Zak Hardaker and Adam Milner called in to the hospice’s Castleford furniture store earlier this month, to promote opportunities ahead of this week’s nationwide Volunteers Week.

Members of the club have previously helped the hospice with gardening and event preparation and have also spent time with patients.

“They need to raise such a large amount of money to keep offering this free facility and the team of volunteers are crucial to this. Whether it be helping out at one of the local charity shops, or giving a few hours to help steward one of the many fundraising event they host, we can all do our little bit to help.”

The hospice relies on volunteers in admin, retail, patient care, catering and fundraising to help it support local people with life-limiting illnesses.
