Around a third of the building was alight and the roof collapsed. As the building is located in a residential area there was a exposure risk from three sides of the property, but firefighters managed to contain it.

Environment Agency staff attended due to large amounts of smoke over the residential area, and Bradford Council’s emergency planning officer and structural engineer officer attended because of the collapsed roof.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
