M62 slip road closed after smash

The exit slip road on the eastbound carriageway at junction 29, of the M1 northbound at Lofthouse, remains shut and could be closed for some time.

Police investigators are at the scene of the crash which happened at 4.48am today (Friday).

The closure has caused major delays during the morning rush hour traffic.

Diversions are in place via the Lofthouse Interchange roundabout.

Police also advise that traffic can use the M621 as an alternative.

Congestion is backing up to junction 28, A650 for Tingley.
