Man in his 70s dies after car accident in Altofts
A man died after a road crash in Altofts last night.
Police said they were called at 8pm after a grey Skoda Fabia was in collision with a lamppost on Altofts Lodge Drive in the village near Normanton.
Paramedics treated the man, who was in his 70s and the sole occupant of the car, at the scene.
He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His next of kin are aware, police said.
