Three treated for injuries after crash on major Wakefield road

Three people were treated for injuries after a collision in Wakefield this morning.

West Yorkshire Police said they had been called by the ambulance service shortly after 8am to reports of a two car collision.

The incident, at the junction of Leeds Road and Ledger Lane, Outwood, involved a blue For Focus and a Red Citroen C1.

Three people were treated for minor injuries at the scene but did not require further medical attention.

The road was blocked as a result of the collision, but reopened just after 9am.
