Wakefield Council to charge £10 for replacement bins
People needing a replacement wheeled bin could be charged £10 by Wakefield Council.
The council is considering introducing charges to replace lost or stolen bins.
It has paid out £74,000 in the last year for new bins.
The council received 3,700 requests for new bins, which cost £20 each to replace.
The £10 charge would not apply to replacement requests for damaged bins.
Councillors will consider the proposal at the cabinet meeting on Tuesday November 11.
