Open afternoon and quiz from 1pm until 3pm at Chantry Chapel Wakefield

Children’s corner with books, games, dressing up and a chance to walk the labyrinth from 9am until 4pm at Wakefield Cathedral

Summer play scheme from 9.30am until 3.30pm at Sesku Academy, Burntwood Community Centre, South kirkby (children aged eight to 13)

Wildlife workshops from 10.15am until 11.30am and from 1.30pm until 2.45pm at Wakefield Museum (children aged two to five, booking needed)

Printmaking from 11am until 4pm at The Hepworth, Wakefield

Memorial garden and collages at the National Coal Mining Museum

Sports and activity sessions noon until 4pm at Nostell Priory

Family activities from 11am until 3pm at Pontefract Castle

Vintage outdoor games from 11am until 1pm at The Orangery (children aged three to 10, booking needed)

Mythical Maze activities from 2pm until 5pm at Knottingley Library (children aged four to 11), from 2pm until 3pm at Sandal Library (children aged six to 12) and from 2.30pm until 3.30pm at Ossett Library (children aged five and over)

Under five storytime from 10.30am until 11am at Ossett Library and from 11.15am until 11.45am at Sandal Library

Wii fun from 2pm until 3pm at Sandal Library and from 4pm until 5pm at Wakefield Library
