Who should be the next Wakefield Star?
That’s the question being asked by council chiefs as they consider nominations for the next famous name to be commemorated on the city’s pavements.
The Wakefield Star plaque scheme has so far immortalised 14 celebrities from across the district, including guitarist and songwriter Bill Nelson.

The plaques form a walk of famous peole which we hope will be here for many years to come.”
The closing date for nominations is June, 17 2015.
