X-factor auditions come to Wakefield

The ITV talent show is launching new mobile auditions that will see a van hunting the city for talented singers.

Former Take That star Gary Barlow, who is back on the judging panel for 2012, said: “We want to make sure we find all the talent the country has to offer and the extra auditions allow even more people to try out.”

People can also now enter the competition whether they are an amateur artist, have had a management deal in the past or have one now - but they must be aged 16 and above.

The mobile auditions, with phone and broadband provider TalkTalk, will be in Wakefield on Monday, May 7, from 9.30am until 4.30pm. The exact location will be announced the day before the event.
