Xscape entrepreneurs jumping for joy over Gravity success

Two Yorkshire entrepreneurs are jumping with joy after their new trampoline business smashed all targets.

Gravity indoor trampoline park – at Xscape, Glass Houghton – opened in February 2015 and has since welcomed more than 300,000 visitors.

The firm, founded by Michael Harrison and Harvey Jenkinson, employs around 60 people and is now expanding nationally, with two more parks planned for 2016.

Mr Harrison said: “It’s been an incredible first year and as a result we’ve already launched another site in Maidstone, with two more planned this year in Norwich and Glasgow.

“It all started right here at Xscape Yorkshire and that’s given us a great springboard for growth, which is especially pleasing being from the county. The reaction we’ve had during the last 12 months has been phenomenal – it’s affordable, inclusive and healthy, which is a great mix.”

Gravity runs a range of different events, including disability sessions on Thursdays at a reduced price, which give visitors the chance to enjoy a more relaxed bounce with carers. They also provide sensory tents which are used during these sessions.

Reduced rate parent and toddler sessions have also proved popular.
