“Somewhere to busk is driven by a national project which aims to find space and support people in their creative endeavours with the help of the Big Lottery Fund.”

The project has received a £7m grant from the Big Lottery Fund to unlock free space across the UK for 16 to 25-year-olds until 2016.

The initiative is being delivered in Yorkshire by We Are.

Miss Norton and Miss Lilley said: “We’re inviting young musicians and bands to perform throughout the day. It should be a really nice event.”
